WHAT WE CAN HELP YOU WITH
Relationship issues, difficult and challenging life situations, stress, anxiety, panic attacks, personal challenges, work or study problems, personal development and knowledge, and more.
We currently provide all our services exclusively online.
Individual counselling provides help and support to people who are acutely or long-term facing a challenging life situation that negatively affects their mental and/or physical health. It focuses on personal, partnership , family, psychological or psychosomatic difficulties. It may also focus on personal development, i.e. focusing on development of a person’s strengths, the strengths that help them to be more satisfied in their personal and professional life and achieve their full personal potential.
Through psychological tools and conversation, it brings about changes in the areas of experiencing, behaviours, body and leads to deeper self-knowledge and the elimination of individual, psychological or emotional problems. If necessary, follow-up or additional care may be recommended, e.g. professional clinical-psychological assessment or psychiatric evaluation, nutritional counselling, physiotherapy etc. .
Does it make sense to go to therapy? How does it work and is the online form of the session suitable for me? Will cognitive behavioural therapy suit me? Is consulting with a psychologist or psychiatrist more appropriate for me in my current situation?
The one-off consultation is for anyone who is unsure about who to see and how to address their difficulties. During one session we will try to clarify which form of help would be most beneficial for you at the moment, we can also introduce you to the CBT approach. If you feel that the form and our approach suits you and you would like to continue, we can arrange further sessions of individual counselling.
The purpose of a one-off consultation is not crisis intervention, please see the Further help section for that.
Couples counselling is also sometimes referred to as relationship counselling. Couples (relationship) counselling enables you to improve your understanding of each other’s relationship patterns, providing tools, ideas and new perspectives that can help you to address different issues and problems.
Benefits of couples (relationship) counseling include:
- Improving communication with your counterpart
- Recognising problems and solving them in a safe environment
- A space to listen and understand each other’s needs
- Restoring physical and emotional intimacy
- A better understanding of your own needs and those of the other person
Currently, only Monika Večeřová offers couples (relationship) counselling at Bkind.
Group counselling takes place with one or more psychologists. Groups usually involve at least 3 or more clients. Group counselling can be varied. In addition to an initial “round” where you introduce yourself to each other and share how you are doing, you as clients then bring up topics of your own. Sometimes, this may involve one client describing their story in detail, other times a client may come in with a specific question that develops a discussion for the whole group. The aim of the meeting is to share experiences, feelings and emotions, to spend time together, help and support each other. The group is for adult clients only.
As the groups are also conducted online, there is an upper limit of 9 clients per group. You must sign up for the Group counselling in advance. Afterwards, a link with access details will be sent to you. In the event of full capacity, you will be notified by email.
Relaxation in Bkind is an open online group where you can try and learn different relaxation and anti-stress techniques. In relaxation with elements of mindfulness and body scan, you can anchor yourself in the moment, relax, learn techniques to manage certain psychosomatic symptoms or deal with stress. Imagery can also be used for total body relaxation – participation in relaxation with imagery may be contraindicated with some psychological problems. So you can discuss your participation in the relaxations at BKind with one of the centre’s psychologists beforehand.
The relaxations are conducted online, from the comfort of your home. To participate in the relaxation you must have access to a computer (smartphone) with internet connection, a microphone and ideally also a webcam, which will make communication with the group more natural.
